Rewards programs focusing on shopping rebates, surveys, sign-ups, emails, etc.:
QuickRewards
Read my QuickRewards review
QuickRewards is kind of a hybrid site that's hard to categorize. You get paid in cash to view ads, read emails, sign up for offers, complete surveys, and shop. This site has some of the best rates for shopping, and getting it back in actual cash instead of gift certificates is quite nice. (E.g., you can earn 4.1% at Target, 4.2% at Barnes and Noble, etc.) The owner is great, and is always looking for ways to improve the site. Just by viewing ads and reading emails alone you can earn about 10 cents a day. Ads range from .05 cent to one cent each. Cashout with no minimum through PayPal, or buy gift certificates of specificed denominations to places like Amazon. With it's many earning options and great support, QuickRewards is my favorite GPT site.
InboxDollars
Earn cash for reading emails, taking surveys, shopping, and signing up for offers at InboxDollars. Emails are usually worth about two cents a piece, and sometimes several are sent per day, with an average of 1-2/day. Surveys are worth 50 cents, and they give you a specified percentage back for shopping at a wide variety of merchants. Payout is at $30 by check, though they take a $3 fee out of it. I've had a good experience with their customer service as well (with an issue that was entirely my fault).
FreeRide
Read my FreeRide review
FreeRide is a Token (point) based program. Read emails, watch videos, shop, complete surveys, sign up for offers. One of the oldest programs out there, and still in business. Redeem for gift certificates to a handful of stores, including Amazon and a Visa virtual account. The tokens here are worth far less than the points at MyPoints, but it does add up.
MyPoints
Read my MyPoints review
MyPoints is a points-based system. Read emails, shop, complete surveys, sign up for offers. One of the best and also one of the oldest. Redeem for gift certificates at dozens of different restaurants, stores, even some hotels and airlines. MyPoints has paid for more than one pair of new shoes for me. : )

Survey sites:
OpinionOutpost
OpinionOutpost is a popular survey site offering an average of about one to two surveys per day, usually paying $1-$3 a piece. They pay nothing if you don't qualify, though you do sometimes get the option to donate 10 cents to charity or enter a contest for a cash prize. The interface is nicely set up, and you can cash out instantly to an Amazon gift card or request a check. This is a smooth survey site, with no weird gimmicks or anything fishy. I definitely recommend it.
NFO MySurvey
MySurvey is another no gimmick survey site that I recommend. There are fewer surveys here but they're worth more on average (the most I've earned is $15 for one survey), so that makes up for it. MySurvey also pays you 5-10 cents for just trying to qualify for a survey, which is quite nice. They just recently introduced automatic payment to PayPal, as well as the ability to buy gift cards (including to Amazon). The only flaw with that is they charge you a 10% markup for the privilege, and they've tacked the same fee onto their checks now. I hate it when programs do that, so my recommendation for this site isn't as assured as it used to be.

PTC/PTR sites with high link values but small numbers of links:
WordLinx
Read my comparison between WordLinx and ClixSense
WordLinx offers almost exclusively Paid to click (PTC) ads, at a rate of 0.5-two cents per ad. A few emails sent every month as well, usually worth one cent each. I was earning a maximum of 8 cents per day as a standard member, and typically earn 10-21 cents/day as a premium member (except for my first day as premium when I was able to visit 51 sites). The upgraded membership costs $10 and easily pays for itself in a few months. Pay-out is at $10, through PayPal (with either a 50 cent fee to WordLinx for using the instant payment option, or a 69 cent fee to PayPal under PayPal's new terms for using the non-instant payment option).
NeoBux
Read my NeoBux Review
NeoBux only has paid to click (PTC) ads, most of them worth one cent. Some worth 0.5 cent or 1.5 cents. As a standard member I get a minimum of four one cent ads a day, upwards of ten a day; average of about six. You can also "rent" referrals here, which adds an interesting twist to the referral game. Great forum with tons of useful info, including a very active admin. I also really like the interface of this site. Very user-friendly and easy on the eyes. Low initial pay-out of $2 through PayPal, AlertPay or NetTeller. This is the only Bux site that I can fully recommend right now.
AdPaid
AdPaid pays you in cash to click ads, read emails, shop, complete surveys, and sign up for offers. They also reward points which are converted to cash at the end of each month, typically at a rate of at least $0.80 CPM (80 cents per thousand). The ads and emails total up to only a few cents a day, but it's worth a daily visit. Ads are worth between 0.5-1 point or upwards of 0.2 cent. Emails are worth upwards of 0.5 cent.

PTR/PTC/PTP sites with low link values, but large numbers of links:
|
Vale PTR
Vale is a huge site with hundreds of emails and PTCs available daily, and is open to most countries around the world. I (as a tier 1 member) have made over $10 since I joined just over two months ago. Email links are worth 0.05c, 0.04c, 3 points, or are contest links. The PTCs consist of a tier 1 section with links worth either 0.05c or 3 points; a tier 1/2 section with values of either 0.04c or 2 points; points PTC section with ads worth 1-3 points each; as well as a contest section, small section for general PTCs, and a few risk games. There are 82 affiliate pages (as of Dec 2009) with eight three point links each. Points can be converted to cash at a rate of $0.10 per thousand, so those 3pt affy page links are worth 0.03c apiece. Total, the affiliate pages are worth over $0.19 per day! I had to do that math three times because I didn't trust it, haha! There is also PTP avilable, to the tune of $0.55 CPM for free members, $0.75 for upgraded members, as well as a $0.10 no tier link that can be used by anyone and in conjunction with *both* other links (only the free link if you're not upgraded). The admin is courteous and responsive, ad rates are reasonable, payouts are done once weekly via mass pay with no site side fees, and affy pages pay $0.20 CPM. Have I mentioned that this site rocks?! Join this one! You will only regret that you didn't join sooner. : )
1CentMail
Not to be confused with the other sites that go by similar names, 1CentMail (or 1 Cent Mail) is a fabulous site run by an honest and very helpful PO (program owner). This is another pretty large site with hundreds of links and emails daily. This site also has a huge affiliate page database - though each page has the standard five links, vs the beefed up eight links at Vale - and also sports a manual surfer with country targetting. This is another big earner, especially for tier 1/2 members. A must join!
E-Qoo2
E-Qoo2 is a PTR first and a PTC second. This is a tier 1/2 only site. PTP available for all members, and paying a great $0.70 CPM, though the admin recently streamlined the tiers. Points can be converted to cash at about 0.024c each. Lots of links to click, and run by a very honest and knowledgable PO. I will say however that the PO has been going through some personal difficulties of late and has been unable to keep up on payments. I know she's good for it (you can't say that about many POS these days), but you may want to wait to join this one until things have cleared up.
All My Money for You
All My Money For You (AMMFY for short) is also only open to Tier 1 and 2 countries. The site is going through some changes right now - PTP is ending in June, and affiliate pages can no longer be purchased. The PTP scheme seems to be dying everywhere, so these aren't surprising changes. The admin of this site does random payouts constantly, and in the first three weeks I was a part of this site I received three. (You can opt out of random payouts if you'd rather save up.) There are monthly click bonuses and a prize section called Snoopy's Doghouse, which is quite fun. I highly recommend this site!
CashinClicks
I've been a member of CashinClicks for about six months now and have really enjoyed it. The PO is very responsive and helpful and the site itself is great. There are affiliate pages called "Ledger Pages" with one 0.25c (1/4c) link monthly, one daily 1/10c link, and three daily 2 point links. There are hundreds of other PTCs and emails on the site, as well as a hangman section. Like Vale, once you've saved up enough points you can convert them to cash at $0.10 cpm, use them to buy ads, or purchase rotator views with the best exchange rate I've seen (10 views per point). But honestly the big draw for me is the PTP: upgraded members get access to the up to $1.00 cpm PTP! (The rate is actually set at $0.50 cpm but tier one hits receive double credits, making for an effective rate of $1.00 cpm.) Upgrades start at just $6 for six months or $10 for one year and come with a bunch of ads, or you can save up your points to buy the 10,000 point MoneyClip Upgrade. Definitely recommend this site!
Old Amsterdam Post
Old Amsterdam Post (or OAP for short) was recently taken over by HeatherC, who also own My PTR. She's a good site owner and so far seems to be handling OAP well. She is still giving out a free upgrade to new members until the site reaches 500 members, so if you plan on joining do it soon! The PTP rate for free members has been dropped to $0.55 CPM, but is still at $0.75 CPM for upgraded members. Old Amsterdam Post uses points for advertising. Since it's a tier 1/2 only site your ads essentially get free targetting, so it's a great place to advertise your other sites. They do random payouts of over $1 if you opt in for them.
JJClix
JJClix is in the process of being transferred over to Inya - the same woman who owns and runs ValePTR - so I'm looking forward to this great PTR becoming even better. This site has $0.80CPM PTP, but only for upgraded members. There are two contest PTC areas, one worth five cents and the other $2. I won the $2 contest recently, so it does happen! I am upgraded here (I have the $17/one year, level one upgrade) and am very impressed with how many ads you get. You also get access to the PTP, of course, and a couple more reward games, so the upgrade is very much worth it.
Deep-C-Links
Deep-C is a PTR with $0.70 CPM PTP avilable to all members. They accept members from most countries and the site is run by a very reputable woman (Vicki). There are dozens of affiliate pages with one 1/10 cent link on each, so you can rack up over seven cents daily doing that alone. The points can be used to purchase ads - rotator views can be purchased at a rate of one view per point, which is pretty reasonable. This is a great site and one I can very comfortably recommend. This is another site where the PO is having personal difficulties, however hers seem to be more finite and likely to clear up soon. Time will tell, but you may want to wait on this one, as well.
Lady of the Links
Lady of the Links is run by the same owner as Deep-C-Links and is just as dependable. This site also has PTP for all members, though at a fairly low $0.50 CPM. There are also 1/10 cent links on each affiliate page, but there are far fewer of these pages. Overall I do like this site, though it is not my favorite just because of its relatively small size. I have had good results from advertising purchased here as well.
FusionMails
FusionMails has emails worth up to 0.5 cent each for US members, and also offers PTP. You do have to pay a 50 cent fee for a PTP license, but that's easy to accrue and definitely worth it. I have purchased tier 1/2 ads and some point ads and got very good results for both. I enjoy this site and have been paid.
OurPTR2
OurPTR2 has the same owner as E-Qoo2, and is pretty similar. The links and points at OurPTR2 are worth a bit more, but there is no PTP. They do monthly no-minimum payouts, monthly click bonuses, and there are lots of games including a prize game similar to AMMFY's Doghouse, called the Smiley Game. Great site!

Traffic Exchanges - This type of site focuses on surfing instead of paid links. These are all manual surfers, no auto surfers:
|
ShareAdSpace
ShareAdSpace - SAS for short - gives you 0.4 credits for every site that you surf as a free member (meaning that if you surf ten sites then you get four credits to use for having your own sites surfed by other members.) SAS accepts most PTP links, which makes it a really cheap way to promote those links. The site has a huge membership base so your links are surfed fairly quickly, and priority is given to those who surf often themselves. The interface is clean and easy to use. There actually is a small section of PTC links, and there are random cash and other rewards as you surf. If you are in the top 50 surfers from the previous day you can also earn up to $0.10 per thousand ($0.10 CPM) sites you surf. SAS allows you to target up to six countries or to target against up to five countries (all for free). One other thing I love about this program is that you can upgrade for just a week at a time, if you wish. Upgrades come with 400-8000 extra credits (depending on upgrade level), increased credits while surfing, as well as a few other perks.
Beach Party Surf
Beach Party Surf also accepts PTP links from most (reputable) sites. They give you 0.6 credits per site surfed as a free member and occasional random rewards, though these don't add up to much. This is a small site with not very many links to surf, but it's a great way to promote your PTP links. They allow tiered targetting, also for free.
EasyHits4U
EasyHits4U gives you up to one credit per site surfed as a free member. They purport to accept PTP links, but in my experience they reject most of them. They also allow targetting, though it will cost you double the amount of credits. The one thing very much in EasyHits4U's favor is that they pay you $0.30 CPM, plus award you cash and other bonuses when you reach certain milestones. So even though this surfer can't be used for most of your PTP links, it's still an easy way to make some extra cash. As for using it for other sites, I've had limited luck getting quality visitors from this surfer, but that may just be because my sites are not of interest to those surfing there.

The jury's still out - Sites I'm not sure about yet:
|
ClixSense
Read my comparison between WordLinx and ClixSense
ClixSense is a bit like WordLinx, but seems to have more ads. As a standard member of ClixSense I've been getting as many ads as I do as a Premium member of WordLinx. ClixSense also has a cheap ($10) upgrade which I've heard is very much worth it. You can use your account balance to upgrade. I have not yet received a payout from ClixSense and it could be a while until I do: they pay only via check and charge a $3 processing fee. I'd like to lower the % that $3 chunk takes out, so I'll probably wait until I accrue a fairly large balance. The big caveat to ClixSense is that they're run by the same people behind the StormPay debacle, so may not prove to be trustworthy in the long run. Because of this history I doubt that I'll ever be able to fully endorse this program.
Donkey Mails
A PTC/PTR site with a $0.50 cpm PTP for free members. The Donkey PTP link gets banned ocassionally for running bad third party ads, and the emails are sometimes for questionable enterprises (no adult sites, etc.) The ads and emails are worth a decent amount (emails up to a half cent each, many PTC ads at a quarter cent each), the PTP for free members is nice, and the surfer yields ok hits on my other PTP links. The site does use points which are only redeemable for ads, but the point ads are clearly marked. All in all I like this site and they do pay, but I can't outright recommend it at this time.

Sites I do not recommend - sites I've quit for various reasons:
|
Bang the Links (BangtheLinks.com)
In May 2009 this site was given away to a new owner - Sherise - with absolutely no warning to its members. Despite that fact, I hung on and gave the new owner a chance to prove herself, though I did move the site to my "iffy" list on this page. Unfortunately, after a series of management mistakes and outright rudeness to several of her members, Sherise appears to have pulled a runner at this as well as her two other sites (School Bus of Cash and Princess Mails.) I highly recommend staying away from this owner. For more information see my News entry for August 29, 2009.
The Clickers (TheClickers.net)
I know this site has a huge following, but I have to say I'm unimpressed. The site itself is a bit of a mess, with so many ads and banners that it's difficult to navigate or see what you're supposed to be reading. The account page at The Clickers is nice, or would be if it wasn't scrunched down so much. I do like the traffic exchange (basically a manual surf), and the ads themselves are pretty high value compared to most PTC/PTRs. Still, the visuals leave much to be desired and give me a headache. I wasn't sure if that alone was enough to make me not participate in this site, so I gave it a couple weeks. After having the site crash my browser several times and my computer twice, I have officially given up on it. Maybe I had bad luck, I don't know, but there are too many good sites out there to waste my time on one that looks horrible and crashes my computer.
Freebies-n-More (Freebies-n-More.com)
I never fully endorsed this site, and I'm glad I didn't. The owner - Brenda - has proven herself to be unreasonable and unprofessional. The site is completely unsustainable, and the owner chooses to blame her members for this fact rather than to own up to her own mistakes. I recommend staying away from this owner. For more information, see my News entry for August 29, 2009.
Sea Turtles PTR (SeaTurtlesPTR.com)
The latest news on this site is that it's going to have a new owner soon, a woman who uses "Kandy" as her member name at many sites. As of December 2009 this change of hands has not taken place, and there have been no further announcements on the subject. Until/unless the site appears to be in steady hands again, it will remain in this position in my list. See the News page for updates.
