Three months of news
Dec 17, 2009
Life got a little chaotic for me the last few months, so I haven't been spending much time on this site. I figured it was probably time for new news, haha!

In the last few months several more sites have gone belly up. For more information about those, I recommend checking out one of the GPT forums out there (my personal favorite is Global Friends Online, but there are several others.) The only one (so far) that hit me was Ocean PTR. I had joined it only two weeks before it died and hadn't purchased any upgrades yet, so I lucked out.

Other sites have changed hands or have come back online, or done both. One such example is the set of sites owned by Sherise (Bang the Links, Princess Mails, and School Bus of Cash). Princess Mails was given to/taken over by a person who goes by the username of cocochinel, and who appears to be paying. School Bus and BTL are both online, though Sherise made a statement saying she wanted to get rid of BTL. I strongly recommend staying away from these two programs. I can't speak for Princess.

A whole slew of sites were taken over by Carole Stacy, who is doing a bang up job of destroying them. Great thread here.

The owner of Sea Turtles PTR announced that she was leaving PTR due to family needs and turning all of her sites over to new owners. All of them except Sea Turtles are now in new hands, and no further announcements have been made concerning that site. The new owner is supposed to be Kandy, who appears to have a good reputation. So we'll see where that goes. I'm planning on sticking with the program until I see how the new owner handles things.

In my little corner of the PTR world, I joined a couple new sites and am contemplating leaving a few. I just have too many on my plate right now and find myself only doing the bare minimum numbers of clicks at some! Two of the new (to me) sites I joined have me really impressed, and I'd like to focus more on sites like them.

My current favorite site: Vale PTR. I really wish I had listened to everyone raving about this site and joined ages ago! This site is amazing. It's huge - I mean HUGE - so you can easily make 20 cents a day, more if you're a tier 1/2 country, and that's not including PTP. (PTP at Vale pays $0.55 CPM for free members, $0.75 CPM for upgraded members, and there's also a $0.10 CPM no tier, free for all link.) There are 1600 members so your ads are viewed very quickly. The admin (Inya) is wonderful and quick to respond to inquiries. She pays once weekly, usually on Saturdays, though only pays those who request payment (it's not automatic). I was so impressed with this site that I bought my very first affiliate page ever after only belonging a few days! I've had it for two months now and am averaging 30-50 hits daily to each of my affiliate page PTCs (more when I advertise the page more heavily, about 30 if I don't advertise at all.) Each affiliate page link is worth 3 points, which when converted equals 0.03c ($0.0003), which is a decent rate for affiliate pages. If you don't belong to this site don't delay for months like I did. Join now and I bet you can earn your first payout before the New Year. : )

My second favorite right now is 1 Cent Mail. I kept getting this one confused with other sites that use a similar name and are scams, so I avoided joining for a long time. Finally I found a short discussion that clarified that 1 Cent Mail (run by Susan C who also owns Firecracker Emails) is not only not a scam site, but one of the better sites out there. So far my experience there has been wonderful! This is another large site, though the membership here is closer to 800. There is a manual surfer and she recently added an option to limit your surf views to certain countries, like many traffic exchanges offer. There are a ridiculous number of emails daily and also tons of PTCs, affiliate pages with 0.03c links, and even personal PTC pages. You can easily earn 15-20 cents daily here, though not quite as much as at Vale. The link values are on the high side - usually 0.03c-0.05c. There's also PTP, paying $0.55 CPM for free members, $0.75 CPM for upgraded members, and there's also a $0.20 CPM no tier link that can be used by anyone and in conjunction with one of the other links. Susan is very professional and quick to respond, much like Inya. This is another one I regret not joining earlier, but I'm making the most of it now!

That's all for me today. If I don't post again, I hope you all have a great rest of 2009 and start the new decade on a positive note!

BuxWiz's sale gone bad; Tuibux gone; Sherise announces illness; New sites joined
Sep 15, 2009
Buxwiz was (supposedly) sold last week on Flippa, for $12,000. I say supposedly because it appears that Buxwiz has been scammed - the winning bidder has not come forward to claim the site, and so it will soon be relisted. Of course after all of this it's chances of being sold (and to someone who's actually willing to pay the ever-increasing site debt) are exceedingly small.

TuiBux now loads an image site. I think we can declare this one dead and gone. Bummer: I really liked the layout there! This is why I recommend not investing your own money into a Bux site (with the exception of NeoBux), unless you're willing to never see it again. I followed my own advice with TuiBux and BuxWiz, though of course it's still disappointing to see them scam out like this.

Sherise of the Bang the Links, Princess Mails, and School Bus of Cash sites sent an admin on Princess Mails announcing her diagnosis of breast cancer. She goes on to say she has no money to pay hosting and is willing to give Princess and School Bus to anyone who wants them, but that Bang the Links is too far in debt to do anything with. Runner POs crying sick (or even dead) is a common lie so a lot of people are questioning the veracity of this claim. If it is true, then I wish her a speedy and successful recovery. True or not she ran her sites poorly for several months and can't place the sole blame on her recent diagnosis. For more on this read this thread on GFO.

I've joined a whole bunch of new sites lately. I haven't been a part of any of them long enough yet to get a payout (I usually wait to request one until I have about $5 in earnings, so that takes a while), so I can't wholeheartedly recommend any of them yet. That said I am really enjoying a couple of them. One is CashinClicks. This site has a great Hangman game, affiliate pages with daily 1/10c links and monthly 1/4c links, and PTP for upgraded members that's worth up to $1 CPM for tier 1 hits (with upgrades starting at $6 for six months). Woo-hoo!

Another one I recently joined is KittenMails. This site is brand-spanking new. I normally wouldn't join such a brand new, untested site, but it's run by someone who frequents a message board I like (Global Friends Online) so I figured I'd give it a chance. The layout is new to me and I really like it. So far there are very few ads, because there are very few members, but hopefully that'll pick up soon. There is a free upgrade availale for the first 250 people who ask!

BuxWiz for sale; NeoBux still going strong
Sep 9, 2009
The admin/owner of BuxWiz posted this announcement on Sep 5: "Just read a thread at another forums regrading BuxWiz. As we said earlier, there are some vital backdoor stuff going on. There will be an ownership change soon as we are finding it hard to manage all of it. Time is what we are lacking right now. It wasn't said earlier to avoid a confusion/chaos at the forums. We are right now inviting offers from serious and honest individuals. Minimum acceptable bid is $5000."

He then goes on to say that his PayPal account is also now limited, due to too many chargebacks. He says they're working on it, but has no idea how long it will take to fix. Hopefully payouts will be open in time for people to cash out before the sale.

BuxWiz has been having a lot of problems lately, so this sale isn't exactly surprising. The admin mentions later in the thread that the site is ruining his personal life and he needs to move on. Understandable I suppose, but this is very bad news for the site. As far as I know, no bux site has survived a sale like this. We can all hope the new owner will be honest and competent, but odds of that happening are low. Looks like this is the beginning of the end for BuxWiz. The only positive out of all of this is that the admin is keeping his members informed. That's something, anyway. Latest news is that the site has sold (at Flippa for $12,000, see link), and the current owner is attempting to get a hold of the winning bidder. That listing is worth a read: there is some interesting - and disturbing - info in there.

NeoBux on the other hand is still trucking and getting stronger every day. The admin/owner there just posted an announcement about some infrastructure improvements that are being completed on the site, which has been resulting in some slow downs for people. Because of this the admin has "rewarded" everyone with an additional day on their rented refs. With the way Bux sites are typically run (the recent surprise sale of TuiBux, PalmBux's horribly slow site, and now BuxWiz's impending sale are just a few more recent examples), NeoBux just continues to show how things should really be run. If you haven't joined this site yet I can't recommend it enough. They pay, the owner is honest and knows what he's doing, and the site has been around for over a year now. It's a refreshing retreat from the scammers.

SeaTurtlesPTR back up with new domain; Old Amsterdam Post raises point ads prices
Sep 1, 2009
After disappearing for about two weeks, SeaTurtlesPTR is back up and with a new domain. It is now at a .net address instead of .com. Hopefully this will put an end to the nearly once-yearly downtime the site was suffering due to the weird domain registration. However, I still can't in good conscience recommend this site right now. I will have to wait and see how things go from here. After the Bang the Links, etc. fracas and the other runner POs lately, I'm finding myself being much more cautious and suspicious of any odd behavior. Kris has never been anything but professional with me though, so I'm willing to give the site another chance.

Old Amsterdam Post raised their rates recently for point ads. For example, it used to cost 3100 points for 500 six point PTCs, and now it's almost double that at 6000 points. I'm not sure when this change took effect; it may have been while I was on vacation. I just noticed it today when I went to redeem for ads. My best guess is that the owner is trying to get rid of some of the glut of points on the site. There are very few cash ads/emails and way too many point ads running right now. That's just a guess, though.

TuiBux quietly changes hands; More news on the sites owned by Sherise; Old Amsterdam Post is paying
Aug 30, 2009
TuiBux has been sold, with no warning to its members whatsoever. The only announcement made about the change of ownership was in the forum, in reference to payouts being disabled. This is the entirety of the announcement: "Due to the transfer of ownership, cashouts have been temporarily disabled. They should be back up in the next few days. Sorry for any inconveniences." This announcement was made today, despite news of the sale leaking out to the PTC world three days ago, on August 27. The old owner mentioned that there had been a huge bug with referrals recently which cost the site some money, but did not give many details. Many people are questioning whether or not the bug even existed, but I suppose the whole argument is moot now anyway since that owner is gone. Such a quick and dirty sale of a site puts a huge question mark over it. If this were an honest sale and the site was not about to scam out, the owners - old and new - should have been more forthcoming with the members. Because of this, I recommend staying away from TuiBux (and the new site they appear to be creating, called TuiCash.)

Yesterday I talked about the demise of Bang the Links, shortly folowing the take-over of the site by the new owner, Sherise. It now appears that Sherise is pulling a runner (GPT speak for a PO - program owner - who simply leaves a site entirely, with no notice, no payouts, and no refunds) at all three of her sites. Those sites are Bang the Links, Princess Mails, and School Bus of Cash. It is possible that these sites will come back up but if/when they do I highly recommend staying away from them, and any future sites this owner thinks up. She is clearly a scam artist.

In happier news, I received my first (random) payout from Old Amsterdam Post while I was on vacation, and so I have moved this site to my recommended list. It has a small membership base and only accepts members from Tier 1 & 2 countries (basically the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Western Europe), but I think it has great potential. Join soon to take advantage of the free upgrade given to the first 300 members!

SeaTurtles and Bang the Links bite the dust; BuxWiz lowers earnings; Freebies-N-More owner's rants; ShareAdSpace attempting to dam a flood; E-Qoo2 changes
Aug 29, 2009

My family and I took a nice long vacation to the lake, and hooboy did I come back to a lot of news! So let's get right to it.

SeaTurtlesPTR - Sea Turtles PTR used to be my favorite PTR. There were tons of decent value links and I could easily make 20 cents or more daily. That ended when the site owner (Kris) introduced points, which could be redeemed for advertising only. The ads did result in pretty good hits to my PTP links though, so it wasn't all bad. But now the real blow has come: at some point while I was gone the site went down, and it now appears that it could be several weeks or even months before it will be brought back up again. Kris has had several problems in the past with the site registration due to the fact that she didn't actually own it, and it appears to have come to a head. She's also quickly gaining a reputation in the PTR world for aiding and abetting unscrupulous site owners. Bottom line for me is this is a site owner I no longer trus. I'm very disappointed and sad to see a once great site go down the drain like this. For more information, here is the blog post that Kris made on the subject.

Bang the Links (BTL): BTL has been slowly dying ever since the new owner - Sherise, also owner of School Bus of Cash and Princess Mails - took over. For those who weren't around when it happened, the old owner (Tabatha) basically bailed ship, giving the site to Sherise with virtually no warning to her members. Many quit at that point, but many more stuck around to give the new owner a chance to prove herself. Unfortunately it looks like the new owner failed and this site is about to bite the dust. Sherise is way behind on payments, has almost completely stopped processing ads, and as of today accessing the web site delivers the message "Hosting Account For This Domain Has Been Suspended". This site had a wonderful reputation for years. It's amazing how quickly a good site can die at the hands of negligent owners. I'm hesitant to quit outright since I have over $9 in earnings waiting for payout, but I'm realistic too and doubt I'll ever see that money. Sigh. I'm just thankful I never invested in this site. For the whole story of Bang the Links' demise, there's a very long thread on the Global Friends Online board.

BuxWiz: BuxWiz recently announced that they have cut direct referral earnings almost in half. Standards and Wizards will now only earn 0.3 cent per click (vs the former 0.5 cent), Magicians only 0.5 cent (vs the old one cent), etc. This only affects direct referrals, not rented.

Freebies-N-More: This site has always been unsustainable, and was apparently set up that way as a sort of advertisement for another site owned by the same woman (a site selling PTR/PTC scripts). Despite the fact that she knowingly set up an unsustainable site, the owner has seen fit to whine and moan to her members on several occasions that she's in the hole and getting deeper, and blaiming her members for that fact. She also has told her member base recently that unless the site starts making money, no one will be paid. Since the site is completely unsustainable and will always be unless she makes some huge changes, I guess no one's going to get paid. I highly recommend staying far away from this site. Even if it does somehow manage to start making money, this is obviously an untrustworthy person who has no business owning a PTR site.

ShareAdSpace (SAS): SAS has been pausing sites left and right lately due to some bad ads running in third party banners. Some of the ads are running autosearches which, besides being against the policy of the search providers, can completely lock up your computer. The bad ads can also have viruses and other nasty stuff. Unfortunately some site owners simply don't care, and others have no idea what's going on or how to fix it, so I have a feeing some of them will remain paused (and possibly get banned at other sites) for the foreseeable future. What's frightening is that SAS is one of the only sites currently making a strong stand against this sort of thing, and many owners are just looking the other way. SAS is taking a lot of flack for it, but I think it's a case of shooting the messenger. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a "safe" PTR site, where you can be reasonably sure your computer won't be attacked left and right. I did read somewhere that for some reason July and August are the worst times for these type of ads being sent out by the third party advertisers. I have no idea why, but hopefully this means things will improve next month. I have a long list of sites in my Ad-Block Plus add-on, but I still find some sites locking me up. It's aggravating.

E-Qoo2: E-Q002 recently stopped allowing multiclicking (which is where you can click several ads at once without having to wait for a timer). Now there's a timer on each ad which must run out before you can click the next ad. I'm not sure if an admin message was sent out about this change; I may have missed it while I was on vacation. As a clicker I'm not too thrilled about it, but as an advertiser I love it! Since we make no money if the advertisers aren't happy, overall I think this is a positive thing. Over half the PTR sites I belong to use this system, so it seems to be becoming the norm. The other site owned by Esperanza - OurPTR2 - uses the same system, and as far as I know always has.

Phew, I think that's all my fingers can type for now. I'm sure there's more but it can wait for another post. Hope you're all having a beautiful end of August!

Upgraded at JJClix; Donkey changes their PTP rates; SeaTurtles point ads
Aug 3, 2009

I just upgraded my account at JJClix the other day (only took about 24 hours to go through!), and so far I'm very pleased. I now have access to the $0.80 CPM PTP with outstanding tier rates. I also have access to the wand game (0-4ish cents, can play once daily) and random cash (1-9 cents, once a week), plus a plethora of monthly ads. I'm confident I'll make up the price of the upgrade and then some in the next six months. In fact, the ads alone will just about be worth the upgrade price.

DonkeyMails has announced that come August 15th their PTP rates will be going down to $0.50 CPM from the current $0.75 CPM. They haven't said if they'll automatically cash everyone out at the higher rate before it switches over or if you have to have 1000 credits to cash out in time. I'm wishy-washy on Donkey - don't love it, don't hate it - but this makes me a little more negative about them. I don't think I'll leave the site over it, but I won't be promoting them much in the future, either. I'll still use their surfer for some quick credits on my other PTP links (especially to JJ now!), the PTC section has some high value links, and the emails are all worth 0.25 cent each. The site itself just isn't very appealing to me, for reasons I can't seem to put my finger on.

SeaTurtlesPTR started using ads-only points a while ago (meaning you can only use them for ads, they can't be converted to cash). SeaTurtles used to be a big earner for me but since the points were introduced it's dropped quite a bit. I'm not a fan of ads-only points in general, and in fact I voted against it when Kris asked us members if we wanted them. All that said, I have redeemed my points for ads several times now and I have to say the results are pretty impressive: a good 80% or so of the hits that I receive are tier 1 & 2 countries, with very few default hits. (This is for the contest ads - I can't speak for the affiliate page or click race ads.) So while I'm still not sure if I'm for points, I am happy so far with the quality of hits the ads are netting me. I'm getting into the whole PTP game more right now, and I have a feeling SeaTurtles will become one of my dependable sources of free ads.

Incentria's PTP - why the valid hits are so low
July 25, 2009

I've been a member of Incentria for a couple months now, and keep wavering between quitting or not. There are very few ads every day, at least as a free member, and they're worth a low amount for a PTC site (usually 0.1 - 1/10 - cent) so it just doesn't add up to much. I typically make around 1-2 cents a day after clicking 10-20 links, which have to be clicked alone (no multiclicking allowed, which is where you can click on multiple links at the same time). I'm not sure this site is worth my time. However, the one thing keeping me there was their PTP.

Incentria offers a $0.10 CPM PTP. CPM means credits per thousand, so they give you ten cents for every thousand valid (not raw) hits to your PTP link. (PTP = Paid to Promote. See my Glossary page for an explanation of PTP.) $0.10 CPM is a pretty poor rate, but it's also no tier. This means that even hits from what would typically be considered low tier countries at another site - and thus make you very little if any money to your PTP account - give you the same amount of credits as hits from high tier countries.

This sounds somewhat reasonable, and you might be able to make money off Incentria's PTP if you can get your hands on some really cheap or even free clicks, so you don't have to pay more than that $0.10 CPM. I had been using my extra EasyHits4U (see Links page for more info) credits for Incentria. I use EasyHits4U largely for the $0.30 CPM they offer and for getting some traffic to this site. I never use all my credits there and they don't accept any of the other PTP links I have, so I had been putting my extras toward Incentria.

Well, that's gonna change. After trying for months to get my valid percentage of hits at Incentria up to a less abysmal number, I finally discovered why the valids there are so low compared to most sites. Most PTP sites give you credit for each unique click to your specific PTP link in a 24 hour window (meaning if a person clicks your link multiple times in 24 hours you only get credit for once, but if ten unique people click your link in those 24 hours you get credit for ten clicks, etc.). Incentria does things differently: they only give you credit for each entirely unique click to Incentria's site within a 24 hour window. In other words, the only time you get credit for a person clicking on your Incentria PTP link is if that person has not visited Incentria at all in the past 24 hours. It doesn't matter if they saw it in a surf window, by clicking someone else's PTP link elsewhere, by visiting the site on purpose, etc. If they've visited the site that day by any means you do not get credit for them visiting the site via your PTP link.

I can actually understand why Incentria would do this. It makes sense from their perspective to not pay for the same person visiting their site multiple times a day. But on the other hand, it makes the PTP pretty much worthless. Even those cheap or free hits would be put to better use than a 10% valid rate on a $0.10 CPM PTP link. It's just not worth it to me.

More PTR, PTC, and traffic exchange sites added to the Links page
July 23, 2009

I've been joining sites left and right lately and not keeping my Links page updated. So I spent an hour today adding mini reviews and links for many of the new sites I've joined. Some of them have already paid me - AllMyMoneyForYou and OurPTR2 - while others I either haven't yet reached or requested payouts from. I typically only join sites after reading other people's reviews of them, so even if a site hasn't paid me yet I'm usually pretty certain that they will. However, as always, I will only put a site in my recommended list when I've personally received a payment from them. Until then you can find them in the bottom section of the Links page.

I try to stay up to date on any other issues a program may be having as well, and not just rely on whether or not they've paid me. Often scam sites will pay enough members to get good word of mouth going, then do a runner.

I also added a section for traffic exchanges, which I haven't discussed much on this site before. A traffic exchange is usually (though not always) a manual surfer, which I do explain pretty thorougly on the Glossary page. For every site that you surf - using the traffic exchange's surfer - you earn a certain number of credits. You can submit your own links (such as PTP link, referral links, even links to your own web site or blog) and assign the credits that you've earned to them. Then other memers of the traffic exchange can view your site/links. Some traffic exchanges only reward you in credits, and there is no monetary benefit to using their surfer. Others pay you per site surfed (upwards of $0.30 CPM - which means per thousand). Some of them accept PTP links and others don't, etc. Every traffic exchange program is a little different.

I belong to five or so traffic exchanges, but only added three to my recommended list. Those are ShareAdSpace (SAS for short), Beach Party Surf, and EasyHits4U. The first two accept almost all PTP links, but offer less than one full credit per site surfed. SAS also gives you random cash and other bonuses while you surf. The third - EasyHits4U - does not accept most PTP links, but does pay you $0.30 CPM and offers up to one credit per site surfed as a free member. Depending on what you're looking for in a traffic exchange, one of these might suit your needs. My favorite right now is SAS, since I have many PTP links and also enjoy earning a smattering of cash. They don't pay much - so far I've averaged about $0.08 CPM - but it will pay for the first level upgrade if I decide to go that route.

Updates to this site; Bang the Links is paying; BuxWiz and TuiBux are alive again
July 17, 2009

I added some more info to the Glossary page, including a section about the new PayPal fees. Their new terms are a bit confusing, so I cobbled together all the info I've been able to get and put it there.

The new Bang the Links owner is finally making some decent headway on payouts. I haven't been paid yet - and I won't move the site back into my recommended list until I can personally confirm payouts are occurring - but the Been Paid list is ever-growing. She also has some sales going on, and has put Affiliate and Personal PTC pages onto the site. I noticed yesterday that the points have been reworked though, so that they're worth 1/10 what they used to be.

BuxWiz is back online - again. They're saying this last outage was because of a DDoS attack - which basically is when a bunch of people repeatedly access the site attempting to lock it up and bring the server/site down - combined with an attempted hacking of their database. (For more on what a DDoS attack is, I found this great Wikipedia article.) They're now purchasing an SSL certificate, which I'm not clear on why they didn't have in the first place. Honestly at this point I'll be happy if the site stays up for a week straight. They're either having terrible luck or suffering from terrible management, and I can't imagine either is going to turn around quickly.

TuiBux also apparently had a short downtime yesterday, due to moving to a more secure server. Odd that they would choose now - right after the launch - to move their server over. It was a short-lived outage however, and supposedly won't happen again.

Outages galore - multiple sites having server problems
July 2, 2009

Multiple sites have been having server problems of late. Donkey Mails was down for an entire day, with asolutely no word from the admins about what happened. That seems to be in keeping with how the site is run in general: the admins don't seem to have a lot to say. The site runs well though, so I suppose it's working for them.

Vale PTR moved to a new server a few days ago and is apparently moving again. I don't belong to Vale - I had the bad luck to try to join right before the move started, so I think I got lost - but I do hope they get this worked out soon.

BuxWiz is having major server problems. They were also down for a whole day, about the same time that DonkeyMails went down. They came back up and the admin wrote a message saying everything should be fine now. They were up and running for a few days but went down again yesterday (July 15, 2009) and are still down this morning. I don't know what's up but I know they have some really unhappy members and there are plenty of rumors flying around the internet. I for one seriously doubt they're trying to scam everyone - it's too early in the game for that to be truly profitable for them, if for no other reason - but this does not make me very confident in their ability to run a site.

TuiBux went live on July 5th, as they said they would, and seem to be having no problems thus far. I really don't have enough info to recommend this site outright, but I'm enjoying my free membership there.

I also joined a few more sites and will hopefully be adding links on the Links page for them soon. The first is All My Money for You (AMMFY for short), which is for Tier 1 & 2 countries only. It has a funny name, but don't let that put you off. I'm loving this site! The owner is very nice and responsive, the PTP rates are fabulous (you do have to pay a $1.50 license fee but it is well worth it - tier one hits are $0.82 CPM!) There are tons of emails and PTC links every day. Overall, it's a great site.

Another I recently joined is Old Amsterdam Post. It's also only for Tier 1 & 2 countries, and also has great PTP rates (works out to $0.83 for Tier 1 countries, and it's free for all to use!) They do rely - heavily - on points which can only be used to buy advertising, but it does result in high quality advertising so I'm not complaining. : ) (Hint: use the ads at Old Amsterdam Post for your PTP links to AMMFY.) They're offering a free upgrade to the first 500 people who join, so join soon!

And last but not least, I finally hopped on the bandwagon and joined Deep C Links. This site is open to most countries, and also has PTP for all at $0.7 CPM. The affiliate pages have one 1/10c link on each. There are over 70 of these pages so just clicking those every day adds up!

TuiBux announces launch date; PayPal unfreezes BuxWiz's account
July 2, 2009

TuiBux announced today that they will be launching on July 5th. The announcement can be read here. I'm not sure about this site. They plan on resetting all balances to zero once the site is launched, which is normal for a Bux site. What bothers me is that they're currently running real, paid for ads. So who pockets that money when the site launches? Ah yes, the admin(s)... That's a big no no and screams potential scam site to me. So we'll see.

PayPal already unfroze BuxWiz's account. That was fast, maybe PayPal is learning. BuxWiz also announced today that cashouts are instant for all members as of now (was only for Magicians before while they tested/debugged the system).

PayPal freezes (limits) BuxWiz's account; Put up a comparison between WordLinx and ClixSense
July 1, 2009
In a turn of events that is quickly becoming a rite of passage among PTC and PTR sites, BuxWiz's account wih PayPal has been limited (which essentially means it's frozen and they can't do any PP payouts until it's fixed). They're working on it, and in the meantime you can still get your payment via AlertPay. I really hope they get this worked out, since I prefer PayPal!

I put up a new "review" today, though it's not a full review. This time I'm doing a head to head comparison of the amount I make at ClixSense (which I just joined three days ago) and WordLinx (where I've been a premium member since April). To see the comparison chart click here or visit the Reviews page. So far, my Premium account at WordLinx is just edging out my standard account at ClixSense, though not by much. I'll probably upgrade my ClixSense account eventually, maybe when I've earned enough to pay for it with my earnings there.

BuxWiz has launched - finally!
June 27, 2009
After almost a week of delays while they were upgrading their servers, BuxWiz has finally launched. They have four ads up right now, worth one cent ($0.01) each. Three of them are ads I haven't seen elsewhere so that's promising. Maybe they'll appeal to slightly different advertisers than the majority of PTCs and Bux sites. Referral clicks are worth $0.005 and rented refs will be available in a week, at $0.34 per 30 day rental for standard members, $0.26 for Magicians. (The Magician membership is like the Golden membership at NeoBux. It costs $80.) So far I'm liking the site, but only time will tell of course. I'll let you know if/when I get my first payout.

WordLinx is serious about that second button
June 24, 2009
On Saturday morning my account at WordLinx was locked. At first I just thought it was a bug of some sort, since I didn't think I had done anything wrong. By the end of the day, after attempting to login in several times and being told my account was locked, I emailed support. Being a weekend I didn't hear from them until Monday, when they told me that my account had been locked due to missing too many of the yellow buttons. (For those of who don't belong to WordLinx: they recently instituted a double clicking system much like the ones used by many bux sites. First you click on the link, then you have to click on a little radio button to be taken to the advertiser. It's a way to foil bots.) Those tiny buttons are difficult to hit using my laptop's touch pad, and I apparently missed one too many. Within 24 hours of that support email they had investigated my account, found no problems and unlocked it. Phew! I was really impressed with the quick service, and I'll certainly be more careful with those buttons in the future.

BuxWiz launch delayed, joined EasyHits4U
June 23, 2009
The BuxWiz launch has been delayed, due to some problems with their DNS. According to their announcement they hope to be back down tomorrow and for the launch to be soon thereafter. You can read the announcement here.

Just joined the EasyHits4U traffic exchange a couple days ago. The surfing is fun and easy and the bonuses are nice (including 30 cents per thousand site visits), but the quality of the traffic to my site is pretty low.

BuxWiz launch news
June 19, 2009
BuxWiz is officially down while they move servers to prep for the launch. The message on the down page says they expect this to take 48 hours at best. Crossing my fingers that the site comes back up and becomes a successful program!

Bang the Links (BTL) and Incentria news
June 18, 2009
Received news that the new Bang the Links owner may not be paying members. The Been Paid list for the site does show payouts however, and also shows a larger than normal number of people asking for payout the day the new ownership was announced. It may just be a slow process. I'll keep you all posted. In the meantime I've moved this site to my iffy list, from my recommended list.

Incentria has changed their layout. They were using the same exact layout (minus the thousands of ads) as The Clickers.net - though I don't know who was first. The new graphics are nice, if a little bland. I haven't belonged to this site very long which is why it isn't in my links list yet.

Hello!
This is my first post in this section! I wanted a place to be able to jot down the things I see and learn on a daily basis, but that may not have a place on my site otherwise.
