TuiBux quietly changes hands; More news on the sites owned by Sherise; Old Amsterdam Post is paying
Aug 30, 2009 TuiBux has been sold, with no warning to its members whatsoever. The only announcement made about the change of ownership was in the forum, in reference to payouts being disabled. This is the entirety of the announcement: "Due to the transfer of ownership, cashouts have been temporarily disabled. They should be back up in the next few days. Sorry for any inconveniences." This announcement was made today, despite news of the sale leaking out to the PTC world three days ago, on August 27. The old owner mentioned that there had been a huge bug with referrals recently which cost the site some money, but did not give many details. Many people are questioning whether or not the bug even existed, but I suppose the whole argument is moot now anyway since that owner is gone. Such a quick and dirty sale of a site puts a huge question mark over it. If this were an honest sale and the site was not about to scam out, the owners - old and new - should have been more forthcoming with the members. Because of this, I recommend staying away from TuiBux (and the new site they appear to be creating, called TuiCash.) Yesterday I talked about the demise of Bang the Links, shortly folowing the take-over of the site by the new owner, Sherise. It now appears that Sherise is pulling a runner (GPT speak for a PO - program owner - who simply leaves a site entirely, with no notice, no payouts, and no refunds) at all three of her sites. Those sites are Bang the Links, Princess Mails, and School Bus of Cash. It is possible that these sites will come back up but if/when they do I highly recommend staying away from them, and any future sites this owner thinks up. She is clearly a scam artist.
In happier news, I received my first (random) payout from Old Amsterdam Post while I was on vacation, and so I have moved this site to my recommended list. It has a small membership base and only accepts members from Tier 1 & 2 countries (basically the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Western Europe), but I think it has great potential. Join soon to take advantage of the free upgrade given to the first 300 members!
