BuxWiz's sale gone bad; Tuibux gone; Sherise announces illness; New sites joined
Sep 15, 2009 Buxwiz was (supposedly) sold last week on Flippa, for $12,000. I say supposedly because it appears that Buxwiz has been scammed - the winning bidder has not come forward to claim the site, and so it will soon be relisted. Of course after all of this it's chances of being sold (and to someone who's actually willing to pay the ever-increasing site debt) are exceedingly small. TuiBux now loads an image site. I think we can declare this one dead and gone. Bummer: I really liked the layout there! This is why I recommend not investing your own money into a Bux site (with the exception of NeoBux), unless you're willing to never see it again. I followed my own advice with TuiBux and BuxWiz, though of course it's still disappointing to see them scam out like this. Sherise of the Bang the Links, Princess Mails, and School Bus of Cash sites sent an admin on Princess Mails announcing her diagnosis of breast cancer. She goes on to say she has no money to pay hosting and is willing to give Princess and School Bus to anyone who wants them, but that Bang the Links is too far in debt to do anything with. Runner POs crying sick (or even dead) is a common lie so a lot of people are questioning the veracity of this claim. If it is true, then I wish her a speedy and successful recovery. True or not she ran her sites poorly for several months and can't place the sole blame on her recent diagnosis. For more on this read this thread on GFO. I've joined a whole bunch of new sites lately. I haven't been a part of any of them long enough yet to get a payout (I usually wait to request one until I have about $5 in earnings, so that takes a while), so I can't wholeheartedly recommend any of them yet. That said I am really enjoying a couple of them. One is CashinClicks. This site has a great Hangman game, affiliate pages with daily 1/10c links and monthly 1/4c links, and PTP for upgraded members that's worth up to $1 CPM for tier 1 hits (with upgrades starting at $6 for six months). Woo-hoo! Another one I recently joined is KittenMails. This site is brand-spanking new. I normally wouldn't join such a brand new, untested site, but it's run by someone who frequents a message board I like (Global Friends Online) so I figured I'd give it a chance. The layout is new to me and I really like it. So far there are very few ads, because there are very few members, but hopefully that'll pick up soon. There is a free upgrade availale for the first 250 people who ask!
