BuxWiz for sale; NeoBux still going strong
Sep 9, 2009

The admin/owner of BuxWiz posted this announcement on Sep 5: "Just read a thread at another forums regrading BuxWiz. As we said earlier, there are some vital backdoor stuff going on. There will be an ownership change soon as we are finding it hard to manage all of it. Time is what we are lacking right now. It wasn't said earlier to avoid a confusion/chaos at the forums. We are right now inviting offers from serious and honest individuals. Minimum acceptable bid is $5000."

He then goes on to say that his PayPal account is also now limited, due to too many chargebacks. He says they're working on it, but has no idea how long it will take to fix. Hopefully payouts will be open in time for people to cash out before the sale.

BuxWiz has been having a lot of problems lately, so this sale isn't exactly surprising. The admin mentions later in the thread that the site is ruining his personal life and he needs to move on. Understandable I suppose, but this is very bad news for the site. As far as I know, no bux site has survived a sale like this. We can all hope the new owner will be honest and competent, but odds of that happening are low. Looks like this is the beginning of the end for BuxWiz. The only positive out of all of this is that the admin is keeping his members informed. That's something, anyway. Latest news is that the site has sold (at Flippa for $12,000, see link), and the current owner is attempting to get a hold of the winning bidder. That listing is worth a read: there is some interesting - and disturbing - info in there.

NeoBux on the other hand is still trucking and getting stronger every day. The admin/owner there just posted an announcement about some infrastructure improvements that are being completed on the site, which has been resulting in some slow downs for people. Because of this the admin has "rewarded" everyone with an additional day on their rented refs. With the way Bux sites are typically run (the recent surprise sale of TuiBux, PalmBux's horribly slow site, and now BuxWiz's impending sale are just a few more recent examples), NeoBux just continues to show how things should really be run. If you haven't joined this site yet I can't recommend it enough. They pay, the owner is honest and knows what he's doing, and the site has been around for over a year now. It's a refreshing retreat from the scammers.
