My top five site recommendations for earning a little extra cash.

Are you new to the world of rewards, survey, PTR (paid to read), and PTC (paid to click) sites and want some fun, easy sites to join? Here are my top five recommendations. (All of these programs are safe and legal, free to join, and have paid me multiple times.)

1. MyPoints - MyPoints is very easy to use and has been around for over a decade. This site is great for getting your feet wet. Read emails, use their links to get rewarded for shopping at your normal stores, and much more. You get paid in gift cards to an assortment of popular stores like Old Navy and Barnes and Noble. Read my MyPoints Review for more information.

2. QuickRewards - Similar to MyPoints but you get paid in cash if you wish to (though you have to have a PayPal account to do so). Otherwise they also offer gift cards to popular stores. The layout of QuickRewards takes a little getting used to, but once you do you can make a decent amount. They have great shopping rebates and pay decently for surveys, too. There are also emails and ads to visit from the site itself. If you're up for a little more of a challenge, this site handily beats MyPoints. Read my QuickRewards Review for more information.

3. Opinion Outpost - I go back and forth between Opinion Outpost and NFO My Survey as being my favorite survey sites, but right now Opinion Outpost is winning. They seem to have a lot of surveys available currently, plus they just started instant Amazon gift card payments. You can request payment as soon as you have just $5 in your account, as either an Amazon GC or a check. Surveys are worth $2 generally, give or take. Sometimes you'll find one worth quite a bit more, but it's rare. They pay well, the interface is great, and for the most part the surveys are enjoyable.

4. SwagBucks - I know everyone's heard of this one and you're probably sick of it, but it really is a great site! You can easily earn 50 SwagBucks (SBs) per day, and quickly earn the 450 SBs required to buy a $5 Amazon gift card. Earn bucks by searching the internet using their search engine, doing the daily poll, signing up for offers, watching SwagBucks TV (for a max of 75 SBs per day), playing games (for a max of 10 SBs per day), and more. Just don't do the surveys since you can make more for surveys elsewhere. :)

5. WordLinx - WordLinx is kind of similar to NeoBux in that you pretty much only get paid to click links (they do send out emails, but rarely.) The difference here is that you are not guaranteed a certain number of links every day, and you have to log in a few times a day to get a decent amount. Still, the site is easy to use and well worth a daily visit. Also requires a PayPal account for payments. See my Comparison Review of WordLinx and ClixSense for more information.

I've had a lot of fun being part of these sites but that doesn't mean they're for everyone. If you find a site is boring or just not to your taste, you can leave at any time - or simply never visit the site again - without worrying about anything. All of these sites have ironclad privacy policies and will never share your info.

Thanks for reading and I hope I helped you find a fun program to join and put a few extra dollars in your wallet! For more information about all of this stuff, as well as a slew of other sites I recommend, click the links on the right.
